Glade and Sherry's visit

Glade and Sherry just recently came out to New Mexico to see the newest addition to their family. We were so glad to have them here, and I (Jenny) was so happy to have them entertain Walker so I could spend time with Julian. I really, really appreciate you guys. While here I wish that I could have done more with ya, but we did do some fun things.

We made smores in our rocky backyard!

Sherry made Julians blanket while here.

Grandparents, Eric and Walker went to the feed store to see the animals

We did a little photo session with Julian.

Thank you for visiting us, we really enjoyed seeing you guys and catching up.
***While writing this Eric yells down the stairs that Walker had just peed all over them. He stood at the top and just watched his pee go from on step to the next. Oh boy!

Guess who is 1 mth

Thats right, Julian is 1 month old. I cannot believe how time has flown by this time. Julian has blue eyes and light brown hair. Hobit feet and long fingers. He does spit up but nothing that is comparable to Walker. He has done 5-6 hour stretches between feedings and he is a wonderful addition to our growing family.

Birth Story:

On Aug. 27, I had an appointment to get results of an ultra sound that I had done because I was measureing small. At that appointment he told me that his head circumference vs the circumference
of the abdomen were not measuring correctly, so he sent me for a non stress test. Ok, we do the non stress test he doesn't like the movement of the baby. He said he wasn't showing signs of distress but he wasn't showing signs that he was happy (he wasn't a very active baby to begin with). So he sends me to the hospital for another non stress test and another ultra sound. Before I went to the hospital I came home and had lunch because I was starving and told Eric about it so he could come with me, just incase their were complications or they were going ot induce me. So we go to the hospital, blah blah blah, ultra sound results come back, and I am low on fluid, so they admit me, and I am not even dilated, yippee. I am induced, which went so much better this time around compared to Walkers induction. First round of it didn't do anything, second round we try something different and it worked like a charm and before we knew little Julian was here on Aug 28th.
Recovery was so much better this time! I swear with Walker I couldn't sit for a week. Julian was a little angle in the hospital and slept like a baby, but that changed shortly when we got home.

On a proud/bragging note, I  am breastfeeding this time and it has gone so much better! I have a wonderful lactation consultant who was/is amazing. After my horrible experience with Walker I really didn't think I was going to do it this time and I am so glad I did. It wasn't easy at first and I was going to give up but I am so glad that I stuck with it and that the people I called listened to me and gave me advice, it really helped. THANK YOU!

Baby Must Haves

I was thinking of all the things that I must have before Julian was born. These were the top 5 things that I came up with.

1. Muslin blankets here
*it is the only way that my  babies will sleep, and they don't out grow these blankets for a while

2. Sleep gowns here
*because when they are first born they are a pain to dress because they want to stay in a ball

3. Natalie's burp rags that she made
*these were made of fleece and they were the only thing besides a towel that could hold Walkers spit ups

4. Dr. Brown bottles here
*I also found these to be the best bottle to reduce spit-up, and we tried several because of Walker

5. Mylicon drops here
        * I have already used these with Julian and it has helped so much with gas

Mom and Dad

My mom came out here before Julian was born, so Walker could get use to her and to help out once Julian was born. She was such a big help with Walker. Walker had such a great time going places with her, playing outside in the water and lotioning her legs. Thanks mom for all of your help, Eric and I really appreciate everything.
When it was time for mom to leave dad came and picked her up. Walker loved seeing him and going places with him as well.

Playing in the backyard, making mud pies

Why go to a spa if Walker will lotion your legs for free

Farmers Market (those cinnamon rolls are so yummy)

A feed store that has animals you can feed. Walker really enjoyed doing this

Few pics.

 Mommy's little indian!

For FHE Eric wanted to do a little crafty activity. We painted hands and feet and put them on a piece of canvas. Walker really enjoyed this, he was so patient and a good listener. Julian on the other hand, was like don't touch me but he got through it.

Julian is 2 weeks old. WOW!

Medela

I bought the Medela Pump in Style over the weekend, and I must say it is amazing. I had a pump that I used with Walker, a Playtex Electric Pump, which I would not recommend. With the problems that I have had with breast feeding I wish I would of just sucked it up and spent the money on this pump with Walker becuase it has made a huge difference in my experience this time around.

I absolutely recommend this pump. I see it as an investment that I will be using again and again.
