July

I can't believe we are already done with July. It was a busy month for us, Julian and I were sick for two weeks with a nasty head cold, we found a new place to live and moved, worked on potty training, made a new friend, Julian stood up and has been moving ever since and last but not least goofed off together.

Yes people that is what you think it is! Eww Eww Eww! I have no idea how this thing got into our house, it must of snuck in when a door was opened. I wanted to kill this thing but no Eric had to catch it and set it free. I am serious ladies, he wanted to catch it and set it free, uh MEN!

Lotion

This kid loves to moisturize! He is very quick when it comes to sneaking lotion. At least this time it is not butt paste.

California Vaca

Last week we loaded up the kids and made the 17 hour drive to California to spend time with Eric's family and to see some good friends. We had a great time seeing everyone. We drove at night and it wasn't to bad. Julian is the best baby to drive with at night because he sleeps the whole time, Walker not so much but he has always been that way. Our week was jam packed once we arrived, sorry to those we didn't get to see.
Here are some highlights from our trip...

Julian and his cousin Jared hung out together with Grandma Capell and the rest of the grandkids so we could go to a SF Giants game.

Next on our list was to go camping at Yosemite. We had a blast but not sure if I would do this again with a 17 hour drive following. A few thing I learned from this trip to take with you camping is to bring a booger sucker and a beanie.
Anyways...

We took the bus a couple of times to do some hiking!

The river wasn't to far from our site.

Hiking to Yosemite falls. This a really easy hike to do with kids.

Our hike to the Vernal Fall Bridge. This was only a .8 mile hike but it was up hill the whole time. Not to great for little kids but we managed it is paved so you could did it with a stroller. I was the first to make it lugging this little guy who fell asleep. Thanks Joann for the Moby, it was fantastic!

Ice cream after the hike to Vernal.

On our way to our next destination Walker fell asleep while eating a cracker. He has such a dirty face, I love it.

Glacier Point! That is half dome in the back ground.

Before we left to head back we just chilled and tried to get some rest.

On our way home.

This is how he decided to take his nap.

We are all so beat on the way back. Julian and I weren't feeling well. This time we drove during the day. Walker did fantastic, Julian had a little hard time. Walker travels well during the day and always has. So you have to pick which kid you want to deal with on a trip Julian during the day or Walker at night.

If you ever get a chance to go to California I totally recommend going to Yosemite. It is so beautiful and totally worth it.

We missed you Darren, Natalie and Hayden.

The big 31

Sunday was Eric's birthday. We weren't able to do anything because he had to work but we definitely celebrated today! I was able to find someone last minute to watch Walker and Julian (Thank you Stephanie). So we were able to go to lunch at De La Vegas Pecan Grill childless!!! It was so nice to go without the kids and the food was soooo good!!!

Then we all took a nap together around 1 and didn't get up until after 5. For some reason they slept extra long today, I had to wake Walker and Julian didn't get up till 6. No complaints here!

Then for Eric's birthday dinner we had steak, potatoes, and carrot fries. For dessert we were able to skype with his family and sing happy birthday and eat a homemade funfetti cake while they watched us. Eric got exactly what he wanted...shorts!!!

(Walker and I made the birthday sign together and his turned out better!)

Happy Birthday!!

El Paso Zoo

We went to the El Paso Zoo and had a blast.
It was a very hot day so I was excited to see that they had a little splash pad.
Walker loves going to the zoo and looking at all the animals.

My kiddos

I love my kids but sometimes they just do things where I must pause and be amazed. To me that are the cutest kids ever but I am extremely biased.

The other day Eric had a dentist appointment. He left while I was putting Julian down and when I came downstairs this is what I found. He was sitting in his chair throwing rocks. I thought it was the most cutest thing ever.
Yes that right he can unlock and open doors. YIPPEE!!

Julian on the other hand woke up from his nap like this. I am pretty sure that thing was tied on their. Maybe he's been working on it to make his grand escape, but little did he know that there were bars behind the bumper. HA HA!

Hooded Towel

I am so happy with how this turned out! I made this for someone that is having their first baby, now I just need to make Julian's.

I couldn't find a pattern that I liked because they all had the pointy tops and I wanted one that matched Walkers, so I had to just figure it out. I also wanted it pleated and that was the hardest part. I couldn't find any ribbon that I liked so I ended up using material.

Not to bad for my first one!
