School/Work

We'll Eric started school this past Monday and I also started working the same day. I found a babysitter Sunday night that is just amazing, I am so happy that is willing to help us out.
Anyways, Eric seems to like his classes. He is going to have to do alot of reading but near as many paper to write as he did Sociology. Their is a member in our ward that is also majoring in Speech Pathology but he is still in his lower level classes but Eric does have once class with him.

Walker seems to be doing well with the babysitter. She has three children that are about to start school on Thursday and also watches two other ones. I am sure this helps Walker, they seem to be very entertaining kids.

As for me, lets just say I don't know how women work and then come home and have the energy to be a good mom. I know just from this week, and school starts tomorrow, that I have been tired. I don't know if it's because I am bored becaues it is just sitting and listening to people talk. I know the job part should get better when school starts but I hope my energy will kick it up a notch when I get home. This job is a little different than what I was expecting. I'll explain more when I have more experience in what I am suppose to be doing.

Until then be good.

The latest

Eric:
Eric will start school this Monday! Yeah! We are both so ready to get started on this next phase in our life. He goes to school Monday through Friday but it's a pretty good schedule. Eric also started his job on campus this morning. He works anywhere between 12am and 6 am as a night host in the dorms.

Me:
Last Saturady I applied for a job with the school district to be a Paraprofessional with the Special Education department. I origianlly applied for a part time position but they offered me a full time position. When he called I let it go to voice mail so I could wait a while before I gave him a answer. After a stressfull and hard decision we have decided that it would be best for me to work. Everything just worked out. One thing that had to work out was arrangements for Walker. I did not want to put him in a center and plus they are extermly expesive! I have worked in those centers and I felt that having a babysitter is a way better option. I sent out a few e-mails and got some responses. The lady that is going to watch him is a lady in the ward and lives within walking distance from us. She is a older lady with kids in school and I know that she will spoil this kid.
I am still not use to the idea yet but I know that this is our best option. What I will be making will cover all of our expenses and then some. So that means that we can take out less in loans. Currently the plan is for me to just do this for a year until grad school starts because then we will have in state tuition and take take out more government loans.
One part that kinda frustrates me is that I have my B.A. and all I am really qualified to do is to be a glorified preschool teacher. I checked into maybe getting certified as a teacher but I would have to go back to school for two years, umm no thank you.
**I am excited so I am going to have to share this. We got a awesome glidder at a garage sell for $15!!!!

Walker:
We'll what's new with Walker. He is crawling all over the place and now that he is a expert crawler he is much happier becuase he can get where he wants to go. One of his favorite things to do now is to play with the door stoper because it is one of those spring ones and he likes the sound.
So as some of you know Walker goes to bed early, between 6 and 7pm. We'll normally he would wake up around 4 or 5 am. We'll after about 3 days of doing the Richard Ferber method, he sleeps through the night a wakes about 7. I love this method if you need to get your baby to sleep, but I did feel sorry for the neighbors a little but not much because I have to put up with their smoking. Anyways, this method gave me a peace of mind that he was ok because you would go in his room at first after 5 minutes of crying, then 10 minutes and if he was still crying then every 15 minutes after that. We only made it to the 10 minute part and then he would go to sleep.
Walker is going from a crawling position to sitting on his bottom all by himslef.

August

Walker likes to make a mess when he eats!

This is his latest development, he likes to stand up in his crib. I think I might start putting him in sleep sacks so he can't stand in his crib. I can picture him trying to bust out of his little prison. He looks so proud of his new accomplishment.

Our 5 year anniversary is coming up and we decided to do something a little early since Eric will be in school and working weekends. So yesterday we went to a Rockies v. Nationals game. Nationals won 5-4. We had a such a fun time and Walker was so good...until the car ride home, but thats ok.
